What is Biosuganril 10mg?

Biosuganril 10mg contains 10 mg of serratiopeptidase (also called serrapeptase), an enzyme originally isolated from bacteria found in silkworms. It is widely prescribed in India to reduce swelling.

Doctors there use it after dental extractions and minor surgery, for sprains and soft-tissue injuries, and for sinus congestion, usually alongside a painkiller. In the USA, serrapeptase is sold only as a dietary supplement and has not been approved by the FDA as a medicine.

How Serratiopeptidase Works

Serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme — it breaks down proteins. The idea is that it thins the fluid and breaks down the debris in swollen tissue so the body can clear it faster. A systematic review of studies after wisdom-tooth surgery found it reduced swelling and jaw stiffness, with little clear effect on pain. Overall the evidence is limited, and it should not replace proven treatments.

How to Take Biosuganril 10mg

  • The usual adult dose is one 10 mg tablet three times a day.
  • Take it on an empty stomach — at least 30 minutes before meals — with water, because food and stomach acid can inactivate the enzyme.
  • Swallow it whole; do not crush or chew enteric-coated tablets.
  • It is usually taken for 5–7 days after an injury or procedure.

Side Effects

Side effects are uncommon.

Common and usually mild:
