Side Effects

- Have severe kidney or liver disease.
Talk to a doctor first if you:
- Take a blood thinner (warfarin, apixaban, rivaroxaban, clopidogrel) — the combination is sometimes prescribed, but only under supervision.
- Take ibuprofen regularly — it can block aspirin’s heart-protecting effect if taken before it.
- Have had stomach problems, gout, or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
