Rizact 5 mg is used to relieve acute migraine attacks. It works by narrowing widened blood vessels in the brain and reducing pain signals.

Active Ingredient Rizact 5 mg

The active ingredient is rizatriptan. It acts on serotonin receptors (5-HT_1B / 1D) on the inner wall of blood vessels and constricts dilated blood vessels.

It acts on the trigeminal nerve and suppresses the neuropeptide (CGRP) that causes inflammation.

How to Take Rizact 5 mg

Take 1 tablet (10 mg of rizatriptan) at a time with cold or lukewarm water when migraine headache develops.

If the effect is insufficient, you can add it, but wait at least 2 hours after the first dose. However, the total daily dose is limited to 2 tablets (20 mg).

Do not take prophylactically when you do not have migraine headaches.

Common side effects may include stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, gas, and abdominal discomfort.If you experience any of these symptoms, discontinue oral administration and consult a doctor.

Precautions of Rizact 5 mg

• Avoid use if you have a history of heart disease, stroke, or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
• Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems.
• Do not combine with other triptans or ergot medicines within 24 hours.
• Use caution if you are taking antidepressants (risk of serotonin syndrome).
• Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children and store at room temperature.
